LETRS Public Facilitator Training
Public Facilitator Training for LETRS
Become certified to train and support the implementation in the participant’s home district or sponsoring agency.
- Must have a sponsoring agency* and email address verifying employment in the agency.
- Read the textbook and complete the online content and associated Bridge to Practice activities for Volume 1 or 2.
- Attend all four days of Unit training, with one full day dedicated to each Unit in the Volume (Units 1–4 or 5–8). These can be virtual or in person, spread across several months. (Learn more about Public Unit training options for registration).
- Pass the end-of-course exam following Unit 4 or Unit 8 with a score of 88% or better. If you score an 80–87%, a one-time exam retake may be requested. If you score 79% or lower, you are ineligible to become a Facilitator.
- Purchase a Facilitator’s Kit for Units 1–4 or 5–8 upon meeting prerequisites. Includes initial license to Literacy Symposium.
Maintain/renew certification annually:
- Complete a minimum of eight sessions of ongoing professional development offered annually by Lexia Learning
- Sign and submit an annual Statement of Commitment.
- Remain employed or contracted by the sponsoring agency.
Duration is four days. Cost per person is $3,200. Contact us for more information.

Public Facilitator Training for LETRS for Early Childhood Educators
Become a LETRS Facilitator to support your district in building a sustainable use model for LETRS for Early Childhood Educators professional learning. Each attendee must meet eligibility requirements:
- Must have a sponsoring agency* and email address verifying employment in the agency.
- Read the textbook and complete the online content and associated Bridge-to-Practice activities for all Units.
- Attend both days of Unit training, with one full day dedicated to each Unit pair (Units 1–2 and 3–4). These can be virtual or in person, spread across several months.
- Pass the end-of-course exam following Unit 4 with a score of 90% or better. If you score an 80–89%, a one-time exam retake may be requested. If you score 79% or lower, you are ineligible to become a Facilitator.
- Purchase a Facilitator’s Kit upon meeting prerequisites. Includes initial license to the Literacy Symposium.
