Adaptive assessment of key literacy domains
RAPID's computer-adaptive assessment allows educators to gather predictive, norm-referenced data up to three times a year within the key literacy domains of Word Recognition, Academic Language, and Reading Comprehension. Screen-reading and language skills
Educators can gather data on student skill development and growth with grade-dependent tasks in the domains of Word Recognition, Academic Language, and Reading Comprehension.
Based on their performance, all students receive an individual Reading Success Probability score (RSP) that predicts their future achievement on a gold-standard, national outcome measure. Identify instructional needs
Designed to help schools meet the need for data-driven instruction and decision-making, RAPID determines each student's learning needs and provides educators with student groupings for teacher-led, targeted instruction after screening.
Measure skill development
Since each task is measured separately using a scale from 0 to 1,000, educators and administrators can track student progress across all RAPID tasks. This provides educators with a consistent measure of skill development based on performance throughout the year.
Data visibility and reporting
RAPID results are shared in District, School, Class, and Student Reports. Each report includes the three RAPID scores: the Reading Success Probability Score (RSP), Percentile Ranks, and Performance Scores. The RSP is an overall score indicating the likelihood of end-of-year success, while Percentile Ranks and Performance Scores describe performance on each skill. Additionally, a Lexile® score can also be reported. The myLexia.com website provides educators and administrators a dashboard with access to data, reports, training videos, and instructional materials that connect to the reading and language skills assessed in RAPID.
