K–3 Literacy Success Levels Soar in Ohio District After Educators Turn to LETRS
When the Title I teachers at Niles City School District taught literacy, their approach was to have each teacher sit with every student individually for about 30 minutes each day. But when their district received a "D" grade for reading, they realized they needed to revamp their literacy instruction. The district implemented LETRS® professional development and educators were amazed by how much teachers' and students' understanding of literacy improved. The amount of time spent on reading increased—but not as much as test scores did.
